Need a little Valentine’s inspiration for your child’s lunch box? Don’t worry I have you covered! Nothing says Valentine’s more than pink chocolate and heart sprinkles!
Melt half a bowl of white chocolate buttons in the microwave (tip: if unsure on timing use 30 second segments until chocolate is melted). Add a drop of red liquid food colouring (it will turn pink when mixed) or a drop of pink gel food colouring into the melted chocolate and mix until colour is even. Use to dip fruit, pretzels or even marshmallows for some cute valentine’s treats. For added valentine’s pizzaz decorate with heart sprinkles or edible glitter.
Place the cupcake cases into your muffin trays and fill with cupcake mix (tip: I like to spray the inside of the cupcake cases with cooking spray for easier removal when eating before added the cupcake mix). Tuck a marble between the cupcake case and the muffin tray to form a heart shape and bake. For an added treat I placed a milk chocolate button into the center of each cupcake before baking. Ice and decorate with heart sprinkles or edible glitter. I added a dried strawberry for decoration.
