Happy Birthday AMummysLifeNZ

Today marks the 6th birthday of my blog! Can you believe I’ve been blogging for SIX years! I can’t! I’m not even sure where the last 6 years of blogging has gone!

Over the years my blog has gone from a trying-to-conceive blog to a pregnancy blog to a weight loss blog to a family-life/mummy blog. It’s where I come to vent or express my feelings or share a random life event and I can only hope that my writing style has gotten better over the years as a result.

"amummyslifenz" "logo" "birthday"I’ve had some good successes and some major fails in the time that I’ve been bogging. My blog has gone from a free blog using the blogger platform to a custom domain using the blogger platform to a self-hosted custom domain on the wordpress platform over the years as I’ve grown as a blogger. I have actually rebranded my blog a couple of times over the years and finally became AMummysLifeNZ a few years ago. Before that I was blogging under a different blog name but not one that really suited what my blog was evolving into.

I feel like my blog has helped me to open up more as a person. Which is not particularly easy for me since I tend to have more of an introvert personality than an extrovert one as a person. I’m quite a conservative person and usually tend to overthink things before opening my mouth to speak. It takes a lot for me to open up with raw honesty instead of cautious truth and it feels like I’m baring my soul for all when I do so.

  1. Happy birthday to your blog…blogging is a journey of self discovery as well as knowledge sharing. All the best to you. Keep blogging. Looking forward to reading more such posts as part of UBC.

Here is what I wrote recently. Do take a look and let me know…

Happy birthday to your blog. You remind me of an old commercial, “You’ve come a long way baby.” 🙂 Sometimes I think blogging was invented by an introvert. It is a lot easier to be outgoing online than in-person.
