Chocolate covered strawberries

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

You need:

  • chocolate buttons
  • strawberries
  • sprinkles (optional)

Put a quarter cup of chocolate buttons into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 30 seconds at a time until melted, stirring between each turn. Holding a strawberry by the leaf end carefully dip the rest of the strawberry into the chocolate turning it for full coverage. Place strawberry on some foil until it sets.

Optional: once dipped in the chocolate, roll the strawberry in a small bowl of sprinkles for added flair before the chocolate sets.

Tip: you can do this with more than just strawberries. Alternative fruits can be pineapples, cherries, watermelon, banana etc.

Reindeer cookies

Reindeer Cookies

You need:

  • round biscuits
  • jaffas
  • pebbles or smarties
  • chocolate buttons
  • pretzels

Melt the chocolate buttons in a microwave safe bowl at 30 second segments until melted. Using the melted chocolate stick a jaffa onto the biscuit just under the center for the nose. Stick 2 of the pebbles/smarties above the jaffa in the place of eyes. Dip the pointed end of two pretzels into the chocolate and carefully hold to the biscuit above the eyes for antlers. You may need to keep a finger to hold these in place until the chocolate sets. Repeat until you have as many biscuits as required.

Marshmallow snowmen

Marshmallow Snowmen

You need:

  • marshmallows
  • icing pen or melted chocolate
  • pretzels
  • toothpicks

Taking a toothpick poke it through the center of a marshmallow. Repeat with marshmallows until toothpick is full (I used 4). Make a face at the top with the icing pen/melted chocolate. Break the two sides off the center of a pretzel and poke one end of each into the sides of the snowmen for arms.
