Reasons My Kids Are Crying

Tonight my oldest had a melt down. Nothing unusual about that. I’m generally dealing with a tantrum at least four times a day from at least one of my kids. That’s the bonus of having four of them. It can be frustrating to deal with them and sometimes you have to look at it from a point of humour. Otherwise you might hit meltdown mode yourself. So, here’s a list of the often ridiculous reasons my kids are crying just from this year to give you a laugh.

Reasons My Kids Are Crying

  • My 8 yo hit meltdown mode because Daddy was “taking her life” by using her hairbrush to brush her 3 yo sister’s hair.
  • My 3 yo cries because she wanted to sweep the kitchen floor with the broom I was using to do that task.
  • My 3 yo cries because Nana looked in her direction.
  • My 4 yo cries because he wants to sit next to me at dinner.
  • My 3 yo cries because she was told to stop climbing on the chair I was sitting on incase I stood up and it toppled over.
  • My 4 yo cries because I wouldn’t carry his kindy bag for him from the car to the house.
  • My 10 month cries because I put her down on the ground to play.
  • My 3 yo cries because she was told to put the baby down.
  • My 3 yo cries because she wants someone to go with her to the toilet.
  • My 4 yo cries because someone else has distributed the hot water bottles for bed and he wanted to.
  • My 8 yo cries when Daddy gives her the super cuddle that she demanded.
  • My 4 yo cries because Daddy didn’t give him a sixth kiss and cuddle before heading off to work.
  • My 10 month cries because she wants to explore the (well fenced and child safe) porch and the 3 yo keeps bringing her back inside.
  • My 4 yo cries because he wants something to eat while I’m cooking dinner and he’s told “no”.
  • My 3 yo cries at the word “no” regardless of what it is for.
  • My 3 yo cries if her breakfast is made in the wrong bowl.
  • My 4 yo cries if he doesn’t get to press the button on the microwave when his breakfast is in it.
  • My 10 month old cries when my 8 yo walks away from her without taking her too.
  • My 4 and 3 yo cries when they are told to help pick up the mess they made in the lounge.
  • My 8 yo cries because she is told to help clean up the mess in the lounge even if she didn’t make it.
  • My 8 yo cries because she is told to clean her room and put her clothes away.
  • My 4 yo cries because I won’t clean his room for him.
  • My 3 yo cries because she wants clean clothes and no one will get them for her.

What are some of the reasons your child cries?

Today both my 3-year-old and 6-year-old cried because my 6-year-old was convinced by 3-year-old had her McDonald’s toy and my 3-year-old was convinced it was hers and wouldn’t give it back. Exact same brand new little stuffy. Pure drama.

    Love the list – hugs.
