Spaghetti Burgers

Makes approximately 5 SPAGHETTI burgers

Ingredients

Spaghetti Burger

Meatballs

  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 500 grams of beef mince
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of pepper
  • a teaspoon of ginger
  • a couple of pinches of oregano

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup of white vinegar
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 4-5 mushrooms, chopped
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 jar of Leggo’s Creamy Tomato and Mozzarella Pasta Bake sauce

Spaghetti

  • 1.5 packets of spaghetti
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil

Other

  • 250 grams of grated cheese

 


 

Directions

  1. Prepare the meatballs by adding all ingredients into a bowl and rolling into  medium to small sized balls. Place on tray and grill in oven for 10 minutes at 180*C.
  2. Boil spaghetti in hot water until cooked. Drain and leave to cool.
  3. Start sauce by cooking onion and garlic in a frying pan. Add mushrooms. Add jar of sauce. Add vinegar to the jar to collect the rest of the sauce and empty into pan. Add salt to taste. Allow to simmer.
  4. Put cooked spaghetti into a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients except the oil. Mix together. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add handfuls of spaghetti mix into a small flat circular patties in the frying pan until underside is golden. Flip over and cook the other side.
  5. On a plate, place one spaghetti patty as the base. Add the meatballs then the sauce. Add a layer of grated cheese, then the second spaghetti patty, and serve.
